[ UPCOMING May, 2023 ] Dear all, I will be presenting my MFA graduation work at the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki in May 2023. I am delighted to invite you to see the project that I have been pursuing these past two years.

[ February, 2023 ] Ecstatic to announce that my entry – GLOW – was chosen winner of the public art competition + audience favourite award arranged by the Academy of Fine Arts x Hotel GLO Art. Looking forward to working on my first public artwork this coming summer!


2022 


[ November, 2022 ] My solo exhibition – Memento Mori – takuhon ink rubbing prints of plants will be exhibited at Galleria Paperihuone, Hämeenlinna. 1–30 November.Featured in Hämeenlinnan Sanomat newspaper and local magazine.


[ October, 2022 ] Deeply grateful to be awarded the Academy of Fine Arts working grant.

[ October, 2022 ] Researching Wunderkammer at the Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts and Stockholm Kungliga Konsthögskolan’s Artist residency programme in Berlin.

[ September, 2022 ] Pleased to announce that my next solo exhibition will be hosted by Galleria Rajatila, Tampere. Update: rescheduled for September 2023.

[ June-August, 2022 ] Pursuing artistic research in Japan – The manipulation nature in the Japanese landscape – , with sincere thanks to the Sasakawa Foundation and Ramstedt Fund, as well as the Japan-Finland Society for their support.

[ February, 2021 ] Delighted to have my painting – Silent Spring – featured in Koti&Keittiö magazine February issue.


2021

[ December, 2021 ] Parcipicated in the Bioart Society – Down to Earth – soil chromatography workshops, sponsored by the Wihuri Foundation.

[ November, 2021 ] Most delighted to announce that I have been accepted into the Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts Masters programme in Painting, beginning in January 2022.

[ October, 2021 ] Delighted to announce that I have been selected as a member into the Bioart Society.

[ August, 2021 ]  Exhibiting at a group show celebrating the launch of the Helsinki Artists Association new gallery 13–29.8.2021.

[ February, 2021 ]  Awarded the Sasakawa Foundation grant for artistic research in Japan with Meri Hallenberg.



2020

[ December, 2020 ]  Most pleased to have been featured in KOKORO magazine with Meri Hallenberg.

[ October, 2020 ]  Awarded the GJ Ramstedt grant for artistic research in Japan with Meri Hallenberg.

[ August, 2020 ]  So very pleased that one of my paintings from the Meadow series has been selected for the Helsinki Artists Association‘s – 25th Anniversary show – at Galleria Rickhard, Helsinki.

[ May, 2020 ]  My solo exhibition – Love in the time of corona – will be on show at Galleria Kajava, Helsinki during May 2020. 

[ March, 2020 ]  Delighted to have been selected for the Young Watercolour Artist show at the Finnish Watercolour Society’s gallery, Helsinki.

[ February, 2020 ]  A small display of my paintings – Living Landscapes – is on show at the magnificient Finlandia Hall designed by Alvar Aalto. Galleria Veranda, Finlandia Hall, Helsinki.



2019

[ October, 2020 ] My solo exhibition – Samoilua – received a most charming critique by Seppo Heiskanen published in Demokraatti magazine.

[ August, 2020 ]  So very pleased to announce my first solo exhibition of woodcuts and takuhon prints – Samoilua – at Galleria Duetto, Helsinki. 



2018

[ October, 2020 ] Selected for the autumn season 2018 to the Young Artist Residency programme at the Salmela Art Center, Mäntyharju.

[ February, 2020 ] Conducted artistic research in Paris, with thanks to the Finnish Cultural Foundation.



2017

[July, 2017] Delighted to have been awarded the Chujo Watanabe Memorial Grant for artistic research into – Zen painting and japanese scroll mounting – under the guidance of Master Kashu Yabuta, in Kyoto.
